ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain required documentation and data entry to ensure adherence and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls and processes.
  • Establish relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure open communication and top-notch customer service.
  • Manage operational requests to enter purchase requisitions and contract agreement requests into ERP and CLM systems to procure goods and services on behalf of BioCryst.
  • Track requests and conversations through established processes, escalate as necessary, and follow up as needed to deliver excellent results
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable, Finance, Business, and vendors to resolve invoice/payment queries.
  • Support the implementation of supplier, value-add projects, and other initiatives with business partners.
  • Help to maintain vendor master data in Oracle to assure accuracy and promote data integrity.
  • Manage vendor escalations, including, but not limited to, expediting delivery dates when they do not meet our needs, pursue late or missing PO confirmations, proactively address pricing discrepancies, delivery and shipping related issues and inquiries, as well as addressing any service concerns.
  • Support vendor performance through developing and monitoring metrics and KPIs - driving improvements, on time delivery, quality conformance, compliance queries, customer service challenges, and other areas of opportunity as presented.
  • Support internal cross-functional stakeholders to onboard and approve new services, goods, and/or suppliers.
  • Manage end-to-end Request for (RFI, RFQ, RFP) processes and work with internal business partners to develop reasonable deadlines then ensure they are met resulting in an expedited process. and/or proposals and support contract negotiations to achieve favorable terms.
  • Help enter contract requests and manage communications while working with business and Legal to support contract proposals and pricing negotiations achieving favorable terms.
  • Work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all procurement processes are compliant with all global and regional legal requirements.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree and 3 years of experience or bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or a combination of education and experience (Internships, part-time work, and/or large project work may be considered for experience equivalent)
  • Experience with client-related or customer-related services preferred
  • Experience understanding and following processes and procedures required; process optimization skills or experience a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical, mathematical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required
  • Candidates must be self-motivated with the ability to work in ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to be accountable individually and as part of a team while working and communicating effectively across other business and support functions
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Power Point, BI, or visualization software preferred
