Building Information Modeler

Veridian Homes, an innovative company with an emphasis on smart growth and green building practices, has an exciting opportunity in its Home Building Services Department for a motivated and detail-oriented Building Information Modeler to join our team!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Creating and maintaining accurate 3D Revit models used for customer approvals, construction, estimating, and purchasing
* Developing and updating construction drawings and adjusting plans for specific home sites
* Generating and maintaining home cost estimates, budgets, and pricing using estimating software
* Assisting in the development of site plans for new community phases and individual home sites
* Maintaining and improving the company's home plan portfolio and base plans
* Collaborating with Sales, Design, Construction, and Purchasing teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Reviewing and incorporating changes, selections, and field updates into plans and estimates
* Supporting continuous improvement efforts through feedback, site visits, and team collaboration

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and teamwork skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must be solutions-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. A desire to learn and apply new technologies is essential.

Candidates will be required to become proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sage Estimating (Timberline), and will be responsible for sending purchase orders through NewStar Enterprise upon completion of training. Experience in drafting, estimating, or residential construction is preferred but not required. The ability to read and understand construction documents is also preferred.
