Pay Rate $23.00- $26.00/hr

Overall Objective

  • Evaluates flavoring products and incoming ingredients by performing sensory evaluations or chemical, physical, microbiological or analytical tests.
  • Adheres to safety rules and procedures.
  • Performs tasks and procedures according to established GLPs, processes and policies.

Functional Alignment

  • Supports operations departments and affiliate sites by performing laboratory testing efficiently and on time.
  • Key stakeholders Laboratory management team, Operations, Planning

Education / Background / Technical skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, scientific college degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of laboratory and/or industry experience preferred
  • Must not have food allergies
  • Must possess strong written and verbal English skills and be able to read and understand technical documentation
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Sharepoint

Required Activities

  • Must be able to stand for up to 3 hours at a time, and up to 7 hours total per day.
  • Must have hand dexterity for pipetting and twisting/opening of containers.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch down, and reach.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to work in warm conditions.
  • Must follow all safety precautions to handle hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to lift to 10 lbs.
