UNC Health Johnston is seeking a Per Diem GI Hospitalist (MD/DO) to join our team.

UNC Health Medical Group, in partnership with UNC Health Johnston, located in Smithfield, NC, is seeking a Per Diem GI Hospitalist physician to join their team.

This position would be a part of the team at UNC REX Digestive Health. UNC Rex Digestive Health has been providing exceptional high-quality gastroenterology care to patients in the Raleigh/Eastern, NC area for more than 50 years. It is one of the most advanced gastroenterology practices in the area.

Position Features:

• Procedures Required:EGD, colonoscopy, push enteroscopy, Video capsule endoscopy reading, ERCP is preferred but not required
• Procedure Volume: Average range of 8-12 per day
• Structure:HOPD cases followed by inpatient cases. APPs will be rounding and staff with the physician
• Schedule: Per Diem
• No night call.

Education Requirements:
* Meet the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Board Certified in Gastroenterology
* DEA;ACLS;MD
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Prefer prior hospitalist experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Gastroenterology
