The Product Development Analyst supports the Product Development team by delivering analytical insights, market research, and performance reporting to inform product strategy and execution. This role partners closely with Product Development Managers and Directors to support new product development, launches, and ongoing optimization through datadriven recommendations. This position reports to the Senior Director, Product Development.



Responsibilities

    Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify customer needs, usage patterns, and emerging industry trends
  • Support opportunity assessment through market sizing, segmentation analysis, and performance measurement
  • Prepare analytical inputs for product business cases, including utilization assumptions, adoption scenarios, and cost drivers
  • Effectively manage projects, ensuring cross-functional engagement and adherence to timeline and deliverables
  • Monitor post launch product performance and develop insights to support optimization decisions
  • Prepare presentations, summaries, and analytical outputs for product leadership and cross functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams under the direction of Product Development leadership


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience
  • In lieu of higher education, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice-versa.
  • Customarily has at least one year of experience in analytics, business analysis, healthcare, consulting, or a related role preferred
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with analytics or BI tools preferred

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
  • Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism
  • The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies
  • Experience producing accurate, well-structured analysis including data driven insights.
  • Experience in applying analytical frameworks and methodologies to evaluate produt performance, customer adoption, and market effectiveness.
  • Experience tracking, forecasting, and analyzing product metrics, costs, or investment effectiveness to support planning and budgeting decisions.
  • Creative and critical thinker in developing analytical approaches, metrics, dashboards, and insights to inform product direction.
  • Clear, tactful, and concise communication style, with the ability to translate findings into business-relevant narratives.
  • Basic understanding or awareness of methods for promoting and selling products and services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Proficient in managing multiple concurrent, time-sensitive analytical projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize analysis that supports product strategy and decision-making.
  • Problem solving abilities, including experience conducting root cause analysis and hypothesis-driven investigation.
  • Proven ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and remain effective when working through ambiguous, complex, or high-pressure analytical challenges.
