City of Hermitage The City of Hermitage is seeking a Maintenance Technician in the Water Pollution Control Department. This position monitors control panels, adjusts valves, interprets meter readings, operates pumps, engines and generators to regulate and control the flow of sewage; operates and performs routine maintenance on equipment in the Food Waste to Energy Program and treatment plant equipment; assists with cleaning lines and manholes and operates inspection equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and have some mechanical knowledge. Experience in a discipline such as electricity, plumbing, or HVAC is desired but not required. Starting hourly wage is $24.72, increasing to $25.75 after one year. Uniforms and work shoe allowance are provided.
