FTE 0.8Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 64Work Shift Day: 8 hoursJob Description TheNursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialistplays a vital role in advancing the practice of nursing through the development, implementation, evaluation of educational programs, fostering professional growth, and ensuring nursing competencies meethigh standards. The NPD Specialist works closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to provide educational support, drive continuous improvement, and enhance the quality of patient care through evidence-based practices. The NPD Specialistis responsible foridentifyingand addressing the learning needs of nursing staff through the design and implementation of effective educational programs. This includes developing orientations, continuing education initiatives, and competency assessments that align with clinical and organizational goals. This role also involves providing mentorship and support to clinical staff and facilitatingtheir career development through ongoing professional growth opportunities.The NPD Specialist continually promotes quality improvement initiatives, integrating them into educational offerings to support safe, high-quality patient care. Ages of Patients Served This position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater. Salary Range: $93.91 - $122.63 USD HourThe Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.
