As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Our armed officer for a healthcare location will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional communication and service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support daily operations by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and completing detailed incident and activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
