As a Security Officer Armed Full Time in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observed activity and notifying the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, gathering areas, parking areas, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and/or report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support visitors, staff, clergy, and/or community members with directions and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence during services, events, and daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
