Production Assistant

Location: Ayer, MA

Pay: $23/hour

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are hiring a hands-on Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment. This role combines ERP coordination, inventory control, and production support to ensure efficient and accurate workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open, verify, and manage job orders in ERP systems
• Ensure correct materials and lot numbers are used in production
• Print and distribute daily production schedules
• Perform cycle counts (cartons, caps, labels, etc.)
• Support training of operators and standard procedures
• Assist with OEE improvements and production analysis
• Step in for the Shift Supervisor when needed
• Support production lines during staffing shortages
• Follow all GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing operations
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs

Preferred:

• Experience in food manufacturing
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards
