Position Title: Job Category: Employment Type: Job Profile: Job Duties: The University of Wisconsin-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, is seeking an emerging or established scholar that is passionate and committed to promoting the development of equitable, inclusive, and quality teaching and learning in early childhood education. The B.S. in Early Childhood Education program at UW-Stout is renowned for its commitment to research-based, developmentally appropriate and applied learning practices. Early Childhood Education at UW-Stout is in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership and one of the signature educator preparation programs at the university that leads to licensure in Early Childhood Education (birth to grade 3) and Early Childhood Special Education (birth to grade 3). The successful tenure track candidate will teach undergraduate courses (face-to-face and online), including teacher preparation, supervision of student teachers, and program assessment of student learning with teaching opportunities in summer. The anticipated start date is Monday, August 17, 2026. We are hiring two instructional positions in the Teaching, Learning and Leadership department. One position is a tenure track faculty position and the other is an Instructional Academic Staff. This posting is for the tenure track faculty position. RESPONSIBILITIES Teach Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education courses; supervise teacher candidates in field experiences; provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning; engage in scholarly activities and research; develop and maintain positive relations with outside agencies; demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff as well as independently contributing to academic program assessment and continuous improvement processes; participate in service activities at the discipline, school and university levels; and participate in service activities at the program, department, school, college, and university levels as well as professional and community service; interest in advancing student learning in the area of early childhood education and in alignment with UW-Stout's polytechnic tenets of applied learning and research, business and industry partnerships, career focused education.
