    Job Summary

    Church & Dwight is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Harrisonville, MO facility. This role is responsible for leading plant operations teams to achieve production, safety, quality, and efficiency goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    About the Role

    The Production Supervisor provides leadership, development, and coordination to operations teams while driving standardized processes across the plant. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining SOPs related to routine operations, changeovers, fill weight management, cross-training, and new employee development. The position plays a key role in improving productivity, supporting sustainability initiatives, and controlling conversion costs through labor standardization and continuous improvement of OEE.

    Work Environment

    Onsite: This role is based in Harrisonville, MO and operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The position supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment and requires flexibility as needed.

    Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
    • Provide leadership and direction to ensure safe daily operations and achievement of production targets and weekly attainment goals.

    • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures.

    • Ensure all employees receive required safety, quality, productivity, and operational training.

    • Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

    • Direct shift activities and processes to meet customer needs while analyzing operational data to drive continuous improvement using Lean methodologies (OEE, waste reduction, cost savings initiatives).

    • Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams regarding staffing, materials, equipment, processes, and performance metrics.

    • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and minimize production disruptions.

    • Manage employee cross-training and development to build a flexible and capable workforce.

    • Ensure accurate and timely management of employee timekeeping records.

    • Initiate and administer corrective actions in a consistent, fair, and timely manner.

    • Foster positive employee relations and engagement through strong communication and leadership practices.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean Daily Management activities.

    • Ensure adherence to sanitation and housekeeping standards across the plant.

    • Conduct audits to verify completion of daily, weekly, and periodic operational tasks.

    • Partner with leadership and HR to provide recommendations regarding employee performance, discipline, and terminations.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required.

    • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the CPG industry.

    • Experience in supply chain, distribution, or materials management in a fast-paced environment.

    • Experience with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
