Job Description




As a Security Officer Alarm Monitoring in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate responses, document incidents, and communicate with professionalism to help support a secure environment. Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor communication systems, cameras, alarms, and access activity from a dispatch post, and relay information to on-site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting events and supporting timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate routine and urgent dispatch activity, maintain accurate logs and reports, and communicate post orders, incident details, and operational updates across the location.
  • Support regular and random patrol activity by tracking officer status, receiving field updates, and helping direct resources to priority areas around the business and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
