TEKsystems is partnering with a local client that is seeking a Nutanix Infrastructure Engineer for a 12month contract to support and stabilize a highly segmented virtualization environment. This role will be instrumental in maintaining platform health, executing patching activities (including dark site patching), and supporting their broader transition away from VMware towards Nutanix. This is a handson infrastructure role requiring strong operational experience, excellent communication skills, and comfort working in secure, regulated environments. DaytoDay Operations Perform operational maintenance across Nutanix clusters, including responding to hardware issues such as disk, DIMM, or drive failures Be local and available to physically visit data centers as needed Support system stability during patch cycles, where patching may trigger component or hardware failures Patching & Lifecycle Management Must have experience: Executing Nutanix patching across both connected and dark site environments Perform limited VMware patching (environment is largely frozen, maintenanceonly) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pewaukee, WI.
