Hourly Pay Range:

$21.08 - $31.62 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Department Support Assistant III, Perinatal Support Center
  • Location: Evanston, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part time 20 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Flexible scheduling 5 days a week (4-hour days), 4 days a week (5-hour days) or 3 days a week (6-hour days x2 and 1 - 8-hour day)
  • Required Travel: no

What you will do:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Perinatal Center, including managing correspondence, phone calls, and departmental records.
  • Coordinate and oversee departmental meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and material preparation.
  • Maintain and update data in spreadsheets, databases, and electronic systems with precision.
  • Generate and compile complex reports, presentations, and documents for the department, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for departmental inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment, including ordering, maintaining adequate stock levels, and tracking budgets and expenses.
  • Organize and maintain departmental records, files, and documents, implementing efficient and accessible filing systems.
  • Take responsibility for scheduling complex appointments, meetings, and conference calls for department members and department heads.
  • Lead and support department-specific projects and initiatives, conducting research, data analysis, and providing presentations to department leadership.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of administrative strategies and policies, under the guidance of the department head.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree Required: Masters Degree Preferred
  • Certification: n/a
  • Experience: 7+ Years administrative experience, with demonstrated expertise in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Detail oriented; Technology oriented; Experience working with data bases and electronic medical records; experience with EPIC; medical terminology; some website knowledge
