NEXT Electric, LLC seeking full-time BIM Manager in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Job Summary



  • Responsible for leading all Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) efforts across projects, including model development, coordination, and implementation of BIM standards.
  • Leads and manages BIM/VDC processes across multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develops, implements, and enforces company-wide BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
  • Oversees the creation and coordination of detailed electrical models, including power, lighting, and systems layouts.
  • Manages clash detection processes and leads coordination meetings with internal teams, general contractors, and other trades.
  • Ensures models align with project specifications, schedules, and constructability requirements.
  • Collaborates with project managers, estimators, and field teams to support prefabrication, installation planning, and sequencing.
  • Provides strategic oversight of model-based deliverables, including shop drawings, as-builts, and installation documentation.
  • Mentors and develops BIM technicians and designers; reviews work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Evaluates and implements new BIM technologies, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and field execution.
  • Supports layout processes, including integration with field technologies such as Trimble.
  • Participates in project planning meetings and job site walkthroughs to ensure alignment between model and field conditions.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for BIM-related communication with clients, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.


Qualifications



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of BIM/VDC experience in construction; electrical construction experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks, Revizto, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with field layout technologies (e.g., Trimble) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) preferred.
  • Proficient in use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead coordination efforts and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check, MVR check when applicable, and drug test as required per federal, client contract, or DOT policy.
