Overview

The Treasury Operations team is seeking a dynamic and experiencedSenior Treasury Manager, Investment Operations, to oversee critical functions within Microsoft's $120 billion investment portfolio. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring operational integrity across investment trade settlements, foreign exchange (FX), and share buyback programs. Ideally, you will bring deep expertise in fixed income securities, FX, derivatives, collateral management, and financial systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations for trade confirmations and settlements across fixed income, FX, derivatives, and share buybacks, including cash reconciliations and corporate actions.
  • Conduct rigorous daily data integrity reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with custody banking partner(s), system vendors, accounting teams, trading counterparties, and internal stakeholders, including Capital Markets, Accounting, Cash Operations, Tax, and Legal.
  • Oversee collateral management activities, including coordination with Legal on counterparty agreements.
  • Champion optimal practices and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business AND 5+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, banking, or accounting OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business AND 8+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, banking, or accounting OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Science in Finance (MSF) AND 5+ years experience with background in treasury, finance, banking, or accounting OR equivalent experience.
  • Professional Treasury Certification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst [CFA], Certified Treasury Professional [CTP], Financial Risk Manager [FRM]).
  • 5+ years of work experience in Investment Operations or related field in a corporate environment.
  • Deep foundational knowledge of investment instruments and security types.
  • Available to support East Coast trading hours.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and present confidently to large audiences.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a track record of delivering under pressure and managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and leading projects independently.
  • Business partnering and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Technologically adept, with a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for AI (artificial intelligence) adoption and financial innovation.

#Finance

Treasury IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
