Summary of the Job:

The Senior Director, Portfolio Manager plays a key role in delivering FNBO's Wealth Management investment experience. This role is client-facing, combining investment experience with relationship management. The portfolio manager partners closely with individual and institutional advisors to design, implement and monitor customized portfolios that align with client goals, risk profiles and overall wealth plans. The Senior Director, Portfolio manager helps deepen relationships through investment acumen and supports client retention, expansion and business development. Investment work comprises leadership in asset allocation or the manager selection committee, and co-leadership of the equity satellite, fixed income satellite or alternative working groups. Leadership responsibilities include economic and market update presentations, driving partnerships within the bank, and mentoring portfolio managers.

About This Role:

Key Accountabilities:

Portfolio Management: Responsible for individually managed accounts, including fixed income securities, equities and alternatives. This includes monitoring asset allocation and implementing trades as needed.

  • Construct diversified portfolios within client investment objectives and constraints.
  • Implement strategies based on the Investment Committee's approved list of investments.
  • Maximize investment returns commensurate with an acceptable level of risk.

Customer Goals and Initiatives: Deliver exceptional client experience and demonstrate expertise as Trusted Advisor.

  • Conduct effective presentations to clients to explain investment strategies and results.
  • Prepare for client meetings and partner with WM team to deliver outstanding service.
  • The client book primarily consists of large and complex relationships. Retain and expand managed assets.

New Business Development: Represent investment team in new business activities.

  • Review and analyze prospective client portfolios and make recommendations.
  • Make effective presentations to prospective individual and institutional clients.
  • Support new business activities with large and complex prospective relationships.

Investment Research: Actively participate in the investment process and portfolio management decisions

  • Lead primary investment committees for asset allocation or manager research and co-lead equity satellite, fixed income satellite or alternatives working groups.
  • Participate and make investment recommendations as part of Investment Committee.
  • Support the investment team in all aspects of portfolio management and research.

Leadership: Communicate investment expertise in the community and serve as a mentor for the portfolio management team.

  • Participate in WM economic and market updates to existing and prospective clients, including media engagements if asked.
  • Partner with WM and banking leadership to enhance FNBW Wealth.
  • Mentor portfolio managers, including possible management of the investment team.

Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.

  • Complete OCC client initial and annual reviews for assigned accounts.
  • Fulfill compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.
  • Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations as well as suspicious customer and/or account activity.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in investment or wealth management.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field.

CFA and CFP designation.

Strong understanding of capital markets, global economy and asset allocation.

Demonstrated expertise in a major asset class: Equities, fixed income, alternatives.

Ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to clients and advisors.

Proven success in portfolio management with client-facing responsibilities.

Desired:

Master of Business Administration or Finance.

Knowledge of Bloomberg, Moxy and Advent Systems.

Experience with servicing high net worth individuals and institutions.

Salary Range: $158,696.00 - $269,783.00 USD Annual

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $158,696.00-$269,783.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
