Position Summary

The Mammography Technologist is an excellent opportunity to work in collaboration with our skilled Imaging/Radiology team. In this role, you will perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. You will work together with your team to ensure the most comprehensive and compassionate imaging care for MultiCare patients.

Responsibilities


  • You will serve as patient advocate and apply compassionate communications of procedures
  • You will model excellence in professional radiologic practice
  • You will accurately produce mammographic images per protocol, making appropriate technical adjustments for body size and habitus, age, and past medical history
  • Collaborate with the radiologist to perform all departmental special procedures
  • You will demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation safety principles for both patients and self and provide radiation protection when appropriate


Requirements


  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology in an AMA approved school
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Certified with the State of Washington Department of Health
  • Mammography Certification required, or eligible for certification; If eligible, must obtain certification within 6 months of hire into this job classification
  • Previous experience with electronic patient information systems and/or mammography tracking systems preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $38.00 - $55.23 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
