Auria Innovations is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to design and test web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The Systems Engineer will provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and design and test new software products. This position is remote with a preference for candidates located in Colorado or Maryland. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: Candidates will work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, documentation, testing, and deployment. They will interact directly with customers and have the potential to attend domestic and international conferences. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. They will interact internally with Senior Management, Software Engineers and Systems Engineers. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, eager to learn, and able to come up with innovative solutions to challenging problems. WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: U.S. Citizenship required BS in Engineering or equivalent 2+ years minimum experience with requirements and test development 2+ years minimum experience in aerospace software development Strong experience in full software development life cycle Effective communication and documentation skills WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS: Automated test experience Web application architecture and framework systems engineering Mobile application system engineering experience Distributed/parallel/cloud computing (SOA, virtualization) Scripting experience (e.g. Python) Linux XML SQL, Relational Database Design Satellite Tool Kit/Systems Tool Kit (STK) Cesium PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $95,000 - $130,000 APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 9, 2026 THE AURIA TEAM: Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers.
