Job Description

General Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacologist II will design, conduct, analyze and report on clinical pharmacology studies. This role will work collaboratively across cross-functional study teams; complete assigned work in a resourceful, self-sufficient manner and will be able to create alternative approaches to achieve desired results if needed; effectively communicate through verbal and written communication. This role will have an understanding of related disciplines which impact Clinical Pharmacology activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide informed perspective on metabolic, co-dosing and drug-drug interaction issues, collaborating closely with cross functional colleagues
  • Initiate protocol concepts and guide protocol start-up including site initiations and investigator meetings
  • Perform PK, PK/PD or exploratory analyses
  • Prepare analytical reports including clinical study reports
  • Contribute to clinical pharmacology summary documents
  • Collaborate and/or co-direct modeling plans
  • Assist in contract research organization management
  • Implement novel clinical pharmacology methodology for study design or analytic
  • Keeps abreast of relevant scientific literature within clinical pharmacology

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, with keen scientific and development judgment
  • Communicate clearly through verbal and written communication
  • Supervise or conduct clinical studies such as drug-drug interaction, special population or bioavailability
  • Understand cross-functional needs, develop critical rationale, communicate clearly, collaborate with peers and drive innovation
  • Conduct non-compartmental pharmacokinetic (PK) and PK/pharmacodynamic analyses
  • Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams

Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. or Pharm D (or equivalent degree) in pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology or translational development and 0 years of relevant post-doctoral employment experience, or
  • Masters Degree (or equivalent degree) in pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology or translational development and 4+ years of relevant employment experience

Pay Range:

$128,300 - $192,500

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

3. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
