What you will be doing?

This position is contingent upon contract award. We are currently pursuing a proposal and are seeking qualified candidates to include in our submission and identify candidates for future hiring needs on the program once awarded.

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Senior National Security Systems & Policy Lead.

Project Summary

The Technical SME provides authoritative expertise across FBI programs, advising leadership on policy, systems, and data related to FISA, NSLs, and intelligence systems supporting counterterrorism and counterintelligence missions.

This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for FBI national security systems, policies, and data.

  • Support system development activities including requirements, design, data conversion, training, and deployment.

  • Analyze national security policies, legislation, and regulations for mission impact.

  • Produce and present executive-level reports and briefings.

  • Advise on IT best practices, data integration, and modernization efforts.

  • Coordinate software delivery milestones and support project planning.

  • Conduct complex studies involving business process reengineering and new technology assessments.

  • Provide expert troubleshooting assistance on Technical Bridge applications.

  • Identify performance gaps, lessons learned, and corrective actions.

Required for This Opportunity

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to take a polygraph.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • 15+ years experience supporting U.S. national security, IC, defense, or law enforcement missions.

  • 10+ years experience working with national security systems (e.g., Sentinel, FISAMS).

  • 8+ years experience with FISA policy, IC mission sets, and case management.

  • Extensive experience briefing executive and interagency audiences.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience advising DOJ and FBI leadership

  • Deep familiarity with interagency intelligence workflows

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $154,000-$232,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. We value transparency in our hiring process and are happy to discuss how your unique qualifications align with our compensation structure during the interview process.
