Job Title: Data and Software Management Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, develop, and understand data requirements from various stakeholders and provide data analysis for all data inconsistencies between two Asset management systems (ServiceNow and Sunflower).
  • Create a roadmap and work with stakeholders to reconcile the data that can result in process changes.
  • Provided mathematical and computational Demand Forecasting analytics for the assets currently at the Asset Management Warehouse by calculating burn rate, returned assets, deployed assets, and current inventory.
  • Communicate and provide statistical analysis for all Fiscal Year Unresolved assets and guide how to reconcile the data to ensure 98% or greater accuracy.
  • Software license management is responsible for inventory licenses, approving, rejecting, updating and managing all DHS approved software licenses.
  • Software reporting and analysis is responsible for generating reports on software usage, compliance status, and removal throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Experience designing and developing dashboards for various organizational metrics and indicators using best practices and industry standards.
  • Design and apply KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics and ensure the data is in real-time.
  • Define and report baseline data metrics to Senior Leadership to assist in Program leadership decisions.
  • Assist with conducting IT asset analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to address program-level and tactical issues that impact the IT Asset Management Program, strategy formulation, data analysis and reporting, document design, data analysis validation, migration planning, service delivery guidance development, analysis of the requirements of the customer to determine the lifecycle cost, scope, schedule, risks, and quality controls used to manage IT assets.
  • Strategy formulation, data analysis and reporting solution related to the development and implementation of a comprehensive IT Asset Management program taking into consideration the tactical, day-to-day tasks necessary for a successful IT asset management program
  • Report of surveys for any lost, missing, stolen or damaged equipment
  • Accountable receipt of all assets and accessories delivered to end users, whether newly acquired or replacement assets, or assets returned to Asset Management after IT service delivery actions, such as, but not limited to, removal and replacement of defective units and/or replacements driven by upgrades and technology refreshes.
  • Properly transitioned from one custodian to the credentialed recipient.
  • Tracking of assets and accessories to ensure their accountability by ensuring the location of assets and accessories during the lifecycle of each asset or accessory information
  • Account for 100 percent of all assets and accessories, custody transfers, and the various custody transfers that occur during the process.
  • Participate in audit activities to ensure accuracy of documented asset information and implement necessary corrective actions
  • Government database records including system of record, relating to Assets and/or accessories shall not be deleted from the inventory but shall be updated to show their disposition as "Disposal
  • Weekly Inventory Report-Contains a list of all serialized asset tagged equipment
  • Asset update system failures require research and correction
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Ad Hoc reports as requested
  • ServiceNow experience in asset management CMDB data management is required.
  • Sunflower experience required.
  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience is desired.
  • A combination of education and 8-plus years can work for the correct individual
  • Must be able to achieve or have a public trust clearance.
  • Operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where deadlines for compliance reporting and contract renewals are crucial.
  • Onsite work location; Work from home not available.
  • Work between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays).
  • Inventory experience in a federal government organization is desired.
  • Ability to document and present work. Sops and processes.

Required Skills:

  • Software license management and compliance.

  • Proficiency with SAM tools (Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow SAM).

  • Cloud software asset governance (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Database management and querying (SQL basics).
  • Familiarity with ITIL and IT asset management frameworks.
  • Understanding of software metering and usage tracking.
  • Compliance and risk management.
  • Software procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python basics).
