Position Overview:

A Senior Full Stack Developer at Affinity Plus plays an important role in the credit union's strategic delivery of exceptional member service levels. This role is responsible in not only maintaining financial system programs and other related functions, but will also construct the software development lifecycle and build new systems from the ground up. The Senior Full Stack Developer will partner with other areas within the organization to help streamline the automation pipeline for development.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform analysis, design, programming, configuration functions, and define technical requirements
  • Analyze, resolve and document software errors
  • Conducts product technical design, architecting, and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution
  • Defines and strategizes API Design & API Management including self-service capabilities
  • Explores possibilities of organizational owned API and SDK opportunities. Links business processes to custom development possibilities
  • In partnership with IT Management, develop and lead the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Bring technology solutions forward to improve the SDLC
  • Provide both individual and budget-level tasks and product effort estimates/costs with regard to new software applications and contribute to the overall product architecture roadmap
  • Ensures timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production
  • Participate in the definition and documentation of departmental and corporate standards
  • Researches and provides solutions to coding and SDLC issues
  • Identify skills needed to achieve departmental goals and create team skill development plan
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications and Skills:



  • 5+ years of programming experience with multiple languages/systems, gathering requirements, and authoring programming specification systems or equivalent experience with systems administration within a financial service environment
  • Basic understanding of agile development preferred
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
  • DevOps experience preferred
  • Ability to write programs in a consistent and easy to read format
  • Extensive experience of programming concepts, relational database design querying concepts, and familiarity with version control concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of SDLC pipeline applications including Azure DevOps or AWS.
  • Ability to build a product feature from the ground up
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical matters in easy to understand fashion
  • Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
  • Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on department and member needs



Workplace Environment:



  • Sitting 90-95% and standing 5-10% which is determined on your rotation within the branch
  • Working at a computer 98% of the day, utilizing the phone 10-20%
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
  • Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
  • Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds
  • Requires onsite presence based on coordination of work with other employees and/or departments. May require travel to attend on-site meetings/events for collaboration, connection, project work, All-Employee Day, etc.



Required Work Schedule:

Standard Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.

May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support. Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the department/team and organization.

Location:

This position will have the opportunity to work virtually, but candidates should live in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Working onsite throughout the year for meetings and team events will be required and are typically held in or near St. Paul, MN. Additionally, once hired, more time onsite may be required initially for collaboration and working sessions.

Compensation:

This position has a starting pay range of $102,900 - $133,750 annually.

This range reflects what we anticipate offering a successful candidate based on factors such as the role's responsibilities, required qualifications, and relevant experience. The actual pay may vary depending on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
