Description
This position orders, receives, distributes, and delivers linen, supplies and equipment. Stocks, cleans, and organizes in the inventory holding rooms and other work areas. Will fill orders, pack, and stage for delivery. Input data, creates and maintains appropriate inventory documentation. Performs physical inventory counts.
Salary Range: $23.01 - $27.52 hourly
Senate Bill 525was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2026,SB525sets a new $25/hour minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,500/week (equivalent to $6,500/month or $78,000/year). In accordance with SB 525, as the offer amount outlined in this letter falls below the minimum salary required by the legislation, we will provide a supplementary amount to ensure compliance. The total compensation package, including this supplement, will meet the minimum salary standards set forth by SB 525.
Qualifications
Strictly obeys the healthcare regulations for infection control. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills with a strong customer service emphasis. Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Actively participates in Quality Management and PIE programs. Demonstrated basic knowledge of materials management information system and other vendor software. Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Consistently adheres to Materials Management / Receiving and UCLA Policies and procedures. Attends all in-services/workshops as requested. Assists in the orientation and skill development of new staff members. Attends and participates in required fire, safety, disaster, body mechanics, etc classes and/or drills. Always ensures a safe, clean working environment for self and co-workers. Monitors and reports unsafe acts or conditions and assists with resolutions. Consistently maintains good guest relations interdepartmentally, intra-departmentally, using English language in both written and verbal format. Demonstrates good telephone etiquette. Is sensitive to co-workers, patients, and family members, in a courteous and respectful manner. Maintains a positive attitude and behavior: efficient with time utilization/productive, strives to be a team member, prompt attitude, adapts to change in workload, adapts to variable rotating shifts, conducts personal business on break or lunch time. Always responds to the needs of all areas. If unable to meet the needs, keeps the area informed and offers alternatives. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks, push/pull heavy linen carts up to 400 pounds and lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Will actively assist in meeting the needs of the department.
