Custodian - Medical Clinic Yorktown
Location: Yorktown Medical Clinic | Employment Type: Part Time, hourly | FLSA: Non-Exempt --- About VersAbility Resources VersAbility Resources is a nonprofit based in Hampton, Virginia, supporting people with disabilities through employment services, day programs, and residential community living. Role Overview Provides sanitation and custodial services for a medical clinic on a government facility. Responsible for performing general custodial duties, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming taking out the trash among other things. Schedule is 2p to 5p M-F Work Location is at the Medical Clinic in Yorktown VA. What You'll Do -Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms/bathrooms, refilling restroom dispensers, high/low dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wet or dry mopping, floor stripping and waxing, and trash removal. - Responsible for obtaining the appropriate supplies and equipment (provided) necessary to perform all duties. -Ensuring supplies and equipment are maintained in a condition that is safe and effective. . - Responsible for participating in meetings and training, as directed by their supervisor and/or site manager.. -Relaying information concerning performance, such as improved performance or a need for additional training. -Maintaining quality standards as determined by the quality assurance designated individual and/or site manager Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: No experience necessary. May require valid driver's license. Must be able to work flexible hours in a facility that is open seven days a week, including holidays Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs., independently Work Environment & Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works inside and outside. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, travel from one building to another, push heavy equipment, twist at neck and waist, reach, and kneel. Employees must adhere to federal contract requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and compliance with security protocols.
