• UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke-ready facility; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit, radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a Med-Surg RN:

As a LVN at UTHET, you are expected to be a competent clinician. You are experienced, knowledgeable and skilled in med surg. You will be responsible for responsible for providing technical and human assistance under the direction of licensed personnel to provide care for a defined group of patients to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Strongly Preferred: Currently enrolled in a LVN-to-RN Bridge Program
