Description We are currently seeking experienced Central Office (CO) Cable Rack and Network Infrastructure Installation Technicians to support initial Central Office and Switching Facility buildouts for a large telecommunications network deployment. This role focuses on the installation of cable racking systems, Iron Pipe (IP) infrastructure, Ground Rail (GR) systems, and related CO construction activities in support of carrier-grade network environments. Required Qualifications * Proven knowledge of Central Office / Switching Facility construction standards * Experience working in large-scale wireless or telecom network facilities * Ability to safely lift a minimum of 60 lbs unassisted * Ability to regularly climb ladders while adhering to company-supplied ladder load ratings * Comfortable working at height and in confined or congested equipment spaces * Reliable and professional written and verbal communication (email and phone) * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel preferred) * Ability to work effectively with Project Management, Construction, and Engineering teams * Reliable personal vehicle required LV3 Installer - CO Cable Rack & Infrastructure (Minimum 3 Years of Experience) The LV3 Installer performs Central Office construction tasks with limited supervision and may serve as the on-site installation lead for defined scopes of work. Key Responsibilities * Install overhead, under-floor, and vertical cable rack systems, including: * Ladder rack * Truck-based racking * Fiber-specific racking systems * Perform accurate rack layout, alignment, leveling, anchoring, and bonding * Install Iron Pipe (IP) infrastructure for cable routing and support * Install, bond, and terminate Ground Rail (GR) systems per engineered drawings * Cut, thread, bend, and assemble conduit and iron pipe as required * Read and interpret: * Construction drawings * Floor plans * Rack layouts and elevations * Maintain and update red-line and as-built documentation * Assist with development and execution of Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and construction work plans * Ensure all work complies with applicable construction, safety, and quality standards * Act as the installation lead when assigned LV4 Lead Installer - CO Construction & Cable Rack Systems (Minimum 5 Years of Experience) The LV4 Lead Installer is a senior-level technician responsible for leading initial Central Office builds and large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project standards, schedules, and quality expectations. Key Responsibilities * Lead and oversee Central Office / Switching Facility construction, including: * Cable racking systems * Iron Pipe (IP) infrastructure * Ground Rail (GR) installation and bonding * Coordinate daily activities with Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Engineering teams * Ensure all installations comply with Central Office construction, grounding, safety, and quality standards * Provide technical oversight and mentoring to LV3 installers and junior technicians * Verify: * Correct rack placement and height clearances * Seismic bracing requirements * Proper grounding and bonding continuity * Enforce safety practices, workmanship quality, and documentation requirements * Review red-line drawings and ensure complete, accurate as-built documentation Skills * Central Office construction * Cable and coax installation * DC power * Structured cabling * Network infrastructure installation Additional Safety Requirements * Type 2 hard hat * Steel-toed footwear * High-visibility vest or shirt * Cut-resistant gloves * Safety glasses Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Orchard Park, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
