The role of a Quality Manager is to ensure that the Stamping Parts meet the quality requirements on all facets of the New Programs from early tooling Engineering discussions to launch at the Stamping plants. The Manager will supervise, coordinate and organize activities and ensure that the quality requirements align with the program quality objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating the Dimensional and Surface Quality activities of the new stamping parts and tools in accordance with the datum and PLP strategy, GD&T, simulations, surface criteria, part buyoffs and launch buyoffs. The manager will ensure that the Dimensional and panel surface meet all the program quality requirements. Provide leadership and direction to SPE functional areas and various cross functional organizations including Stamping, Bodyshop, Assembly Plants and outside suppliers.

The candidate will need to possess a strong foundation in automotive engineering with a focus on manufacturing and quality assurance. They will need to have some expertise in various methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Development, and APQP to drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality. Their technical skills should include a familiarity with Stamping Parts CAD software (CATIA, Unigraphics/NX), CAE tools (FEA), and quality control techniques (SPC, CMM, Atos, GInspect). The candidate should also have experience in project management and team leadership. Employment Type
