Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated and highly experienced software engineering expert who can provide the right technical direction and insights into product development and facilitate their implementation. The person needs to be a hands-on, passionate, and proactive leader with an in-depth understanding of ECU software and its interaction in a complex vehicle network topology.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide real-time guidance and hands-on assistance to the local team for triaging and reproducing issues.
  • Perform efficient and effective in-person code and design reviews with in-house as well as supplier's team.
  • Provide directions on issue resolutions ensuring high quality deliverables with no regression.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams to ensure well-defined requirements and strategies.
  • Steer cross-modules discussions to quickly diagnose the issue-trail and settle any ownership dispute between module owners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, systems) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Drive innovation through research, prototyping, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Establish and promote best practices in design, validation, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and contribute to talent development across the software organization.
  • Influence long-term technology strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science or related degree field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded software development with a focus on OS internals, BSW development and low-level drivers on various platform architectures.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and deep knowledge of embedded OS architecture.
  • Deep understanding of the AUTOSAR Concepts.
  • An end-to-end knowledge and experience of SDLC in addition to the specifics involved in each step on either side of the V.
  • Experience developing software using MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, AUTOSAR authoring tools such as DaVinci/SystemDesk etc.
  • Deep level of understanding of the vehicle architecture and networking protocols (CAN/LIN, Ethernet)
  • Complete understanding of Automotive Product Development Process such as ASPICE.
  • Ability to work onsite fulltime.
  • Good communication and proven leadership skills.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • A Ph.D. or master's degree in electrical engineering or computer science or related degree field.
  • Experience working with several vehicle ECUs.
  • Knowledge of automotive safety and cybersecurity standards (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434)
  • Experience in applying safety critical concepts (ASIL) and standards such as ISO-26262 to the software development.
  • Scripting experience in Python or Shell; familiarity with CI/CD and test automation tools.
