  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and be an active advocate of providing

quality patient care, excellent customer service and efficient health care. As a member of the management team,

the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development

in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Certification in clinical specialty
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' clinical nursing experience in area of specialty
