Data Analyst - Healthcare Location: Washington, DC or Oak Brook, IL (Hybrid) Pay: $35.00-$42.00/hour Duration: 6+ month contract-to-hire Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US Turn healthcare data into decisions that matter. Advantage Technical is hiring a Data Analyst for a healthcare organization where your work in R, Python, and SQL directly improves how products and services are measured, reported, and optimized. If you thrive on building clean data pipelines, producing meaningful statistical analyses, and translating complex results into dashboards that drive action - this is your role. What You'll Do: Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL to create analytical datasets Perform data quality control, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and transparency throughout Conduct statistical analysis - descriptive stats, hypothesis testing, and regression modeling Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Shiny, or R Markdown that enhance storytelling and interpretation Collaborate across teams to define metrics, analytical plans, and output requirements Manage multiple projects, estimate timelines, and deliver results on schedule Maintain data security and governance compliance across all work What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology, or related field 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or data management (graduate training may substitute) Fluency in R and/or Python for data science tasks Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts Experience delivering data pipelines, reports, visualizations, or dashboards Strong grasp of statistical concepts - standard errors, hypothesis testing, bias-variance tradeoffs, regression Familiarity with Git, Databricks, or cloud-based data engineering tools preferred Healthcare data experience a plus - EHR, claims data, CQL, HL7 Ready to apply your data skills where they impact healthcare outcomes?
