About the Role
As our Production Supervisor, you will serve as the front-line leader responsible for daily execution, team performance, and shift accountability. You will translate production goals into action by leading employees, reinforcing standards, solving problems, and driving consistent execution on the floor. This role is critical to building a culture of safety, quality, discipline, and continuous improvement while developing the next generation of hourly talent and team leads.
This is more than a floor supervision role. It is an opportunity to lead people, improve operations, and build the leadership foundation for future growth within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize hourly staffing during the shift to meet production demands safely and efficiently
- Own shift execution in safety, quality, productivity, downtime response, housekeeping, and schedule attainment
- Set clear expectations for operators and team members and hold the team accountable for performance, attendance, conduct, and standard work
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to monitor performance, remove barriers, and provide real-time coaching
- Support daily management systems that drive accountability, communication, and follow-through across the operation
- Apply structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to address recurring production issues and improve results
- Develop and mentor hourly employees and team leads through coaching, training, and feedback
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and other support teams to resolve issues and keep production on track
- Promote and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all production activities
- Ensure compliance with FDA, SQF, HACCP, and other food safety and regulatory standards
- Support audits, inspections, and required documentation with accuracy and urgency
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, sanitation, changeovers, waste reduction, and operational discipline
- Lead effective shift handoff communication so priorities, issues, and actions are clearly communicated
- Respond to employee, equipment, and production issues with urgency, sound judgment, and professionalism
- Help create a positive, disciplined team culture built on consistency, fairness, and accountability

- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or production required
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, written, and verbal
- Ability to use data, observations, and team input to make sound operational decisions
- Strong commitment to safety, food safety, quality, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Four-year degree preferred
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving methods
- Experience coaching hourly teams in performance, behavior, and development
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, and food safety programs
