Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Operators, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of company products while meeting quality standards, customer specifications, and delivery expectations. This role oversees plant staff, production processes, safety, training, and operational improvements to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Safety
* Communicate, enforce, and model all safety policies and procedures.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, lean thinking, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Production Management
* Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure production goals are met efficiently and costeffectively.
* Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet production requirements.
* Develop, monitor, and manage plant KPIs.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures, quality standards, and company performance expectations.

Training & Development
* Oversee training of new and existing employees on processes, equipment, safety, and quality standards.
* Participate in planning meetings to recommend space, personnel, and equipment needs.

Process Improvement & Problem Solving
* Review part and material shortages with Purchasing; collaborate with Production Planning to adapt schedules as needed.
* Evaluate current production methods and recommend improvements to equipment, processes, performance, and workflows.
* Serve as a technical resource to resolve production inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous operational improvements.

Maintenance & Resource Management
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures; coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
* Maintain departmental tools, equipment, and supplies, placing orders as necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork, including time cards, quality records, and performance documentation.
* Maintain adherence to housekeeping standards and all regulatory work rules.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
A combination of the following will be considered:
* Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience; OR
* Two years of college and 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience; OR
* High school diploma and 7-10 years of progressively responsible related experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software required.

Supervisory Experience
* Demonstrated ability to manage all plant employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, and problem resolution.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and create a positive work environment.

Skills & Abilities
* Ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, purchase orders, and procedure manuals.
* Strong written communication skills for reports, procedures, and correspondence.
* Strong mathematical ability, including computation of ratios, percentages, and basic arithmetic.
* Skilled in practical problem-solving and analyzing diverse operational variables.

Physical Requirements
* Regularly required to talk and hear.
* Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
* Occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
* Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
