| Job Description |
The Evaluation Specialist manages all aspects of program data, including data collection, data management, analysis and reporting for the
SOAR
ASAP program and works closely with program staff to ensure data are used to inform decision-making and to better serve students. The evaluation specialist will assist with required data reporting for all grant funding associated with the program. Ultimately, this position analyzes data to assess the program's effectiveness in boosting graduation rates, focusing on retention, credit accumulation, and timely graduation.
This is a non-exempt, grant-funded staff position with funding currently approved through June 30, 2029.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

| Required Education |
- Masters degree
- or Bachelors degree with a total of five years of experience using a standard statistical package, including ability to write syntax and in querying data from a relational database

| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Knowledge of social science research methods and a strong understanding of basic statistical
- Strong understanding of program evaluation methods
- Excellent multi-tasking ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of SPSS or other statistical software

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience utilizing Ellucian Banner
- Experience using Argos or a report writer
|

| General Weekly Work Schedule |
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Final schedule to be determined by the supervisor. |
