Equipment Operator I -Aggregates Marble Falls, TX
Position Overview The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient pre-operation inspection, operation, and post-operation inspection of haul trucks, water trucks, skid steers, backhoes, dredges, portable plant equipment, and other assigned machinery. This role supports the excavation, hauling, processing, and stockpiling of soil, rock, and aggregate materials. Operators play a critical part in maintaining production targets, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting plant housekeeping and maintenance efforts. Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions) * Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of assigned equipment and report any issues or concerns immediately. Required Skills and Abilities Education & Experience Other Qualifications Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment and large mobile machinery. The role involves regular exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme seasonal temperatures, humid conditions, dry and dusty environments, and varying weather. Employees may frequently work at heights and traverse rough, uneven, or sloped terrain. Occasional exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes, acids, grease, and fuels may occur. Work may also be performed in confined or restricted spaces. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud, requiring the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses. Physical Demands * Ability to perform job task assignments 8 to 12 hours per day, 5 days a week and occasional weekends.
