Senior Tax Accountant

Position Summary:

In the Senior Tax Accountant position, you'll drive tax compliance and advisory efforts across Direct Supply and its subsidiaries, ensuring accurate filings while partnering across the business to support strategic initiatives. You'll interpret complex tax regulations, enhance processes, and leverage data, systems, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Do and Impact:

• Prepare and review corporate income, franchise, and multi-jurisdictional tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Serve as a trusted partner to internal teams by responding to tax-related inquiries with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.

• Research and interpret tax implications of new business initiatives, providing actionable guidance to stakeholders.

• Lead tax-related projects, including initiatives driven by changes in tax legislation and opportunities to improve tax processes.

• Manage and support federal and state tax audits, including income, franchise, and sales tax audits.

• Monitor and respond to tax notices, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

• Enhance sales tax processes, including exemption certificates, W-9 documentation, and system configurations.

• Leverage AI and technology to automate workflows and improve accuracy and efficiency in tax collection and remittance.

• Stay current on evolving tax laws across jurisdictions and proactively implement necessary changes.

• Partner with business teams to ensure proper tax treatment for new products, services, and revenue streams.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• 3-5 years of relevant tax experience

• Experience leading or managing projects

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Additional Items of Interest:
