Office of Outreach & Engagement:

The Office of Outreach & Engagement, housed within the UCF College of Business Dean's Office, serves as the college's primary connection point between the university and the broader business community. The office partners with corporations, alumni, and community leaders to develop meaningful collaborations that advance the college's mission. Through a robust portfolio of signature events, corporate partnership programs, and student engagement initiatives, the office facilitates access to college resources including student recruiting, research collaboration, executive education, and professional development.

The Opportunity:

UCF's College of Business is seeking a dynamic, experienced Event Coordinator to join the Office of Outreach & Engagement, where events serve as the heartbeat of the college's corporate and community engagement efforts. In this role, you will play a key part in bringing the college's signature events to life, from large-scale career fairs and student engagement programs to high-profile galas and corporate partner experiences. You will work alongside a collaborative team to coordinate all aspects of event execution, manage vendor relationships, and support the partnerships that connect the college to Central Florida's business community and beyond. Responsibilities:

Event Planning


  • Coordinates and implements various events on- and off-campus.

  • Provides recommendations to event hosts based on previous experience and event type.

  • Reviews venue contracts and ensures accuracy of all pricing, dates, and information.

  • Works with host locations to ensure event requirements are met.

  • Researches technical and marketing needs of event and coordinates with necessary personnel.


Administration


  • Coordinates with necessary personnel to setup event information and registration on website(s).

  • Maintains and generates event rosters, contact and attendance sheets, certificates, and other database materials.

  • Educates necessary personnel on event policies and procedures.

  • Tracks and reports revenue, enrollment, sales, and marketing data.

  • Reviews all invoices and submits to administration services.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experienceoran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience planning and executing events in a professional setting, such as hospitality, corporate, nonprofit, or higher education environments.

  • Experience coordinating high-profile or relationship-driven events for key stakeholders, such as corporate partners, donors, alumni, executives, or community organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience managing external vendor relationships, including contract review, compliance, and budget tracking.

  • Proficiency with event management software or registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, or similar), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously across varying scales and audiences.

  • Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722 - $58,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This position may require availability outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events and programming initiatives. Occasional travel may also be required.

Applicants using a degree to meet the minimum qualifications must have it conferred prior to the hire date.
