The Pharmacy Operations Manager supports cross-functional design, development, and execution of Surest's Pharmacy benefit solutions for Surest customers, establishing strategies, negotiating relationships with key partners, defining integration standards and solutions, and serving as the subject matter expert for both internal and external audiences on the carve-out Pharmacy benefit solution.

This role also serves as the primary point of contact for all pharmacy related member issues and is responsible for supporting all customer onboarding and implementation activities. The ideal candidate will also be able to identify and implement new process improvements related to Surest's pharmacy product.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the Central time zone as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops project plans, timelines, and requirements for client implementations, partners with technology and account partners within the overall client project.
  • Leads implementation process for both new and renewing clients with all carve-out PBM relationships. Ensures a smooth client transition through testing and auditing, supporting the development of communications and meeting technical and vendor requirements
  • Assists with developing operations or cross-functional project or program objectives, which includes proposed budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements
  • Provides feedback and guidance to resolve management and customer questions and requirements; assists with receiving customer feedback and coordinating resources and responses as required
  • Analyzes and reviews market or customer experience, utilization, and related information on an ongoing to as needed basis to determine trends, draw conclusions, interpret findings, and presents results, proposals, and recommendations to pharmacy, benefit design and market leaders.
  • Develops and applies department policies and procedures and assists with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance and receives guidance within these areas as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in a clinical or payer setting in the PBM space
  • 5+ years of experience leading and executing on new process driven operational solutions
  • 5+ years of experience with integrated delivery networks
  • 3+ years of experience with supporting pharmacy implementations from start to finish
  • Technical proficiency with HIPPA standard data transactions
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project)
  • Reside within the Central time zone

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Takes initiative, effects change, and influences both internal and external team members to drive progress
  • Ability to convey status in both written and verbal communication and tailor communication according to audience
  • Deliver executive presentations to internal and external stakeholders communicating status, issues, risks, and mitigation recommendations
  • Possesses the ability to take on more complex tasks and responsibilities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
