Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amountproratedfor Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6monthsseparation from employment.

We'relooking for aRespiratory Therapy Assistantto support respiratory therapists in day-to-day respiratory care tasks. This entry-level role is perfect for someone interested in healthcare, no experiencerequiredand full training is provided.

Clean and prepare respiratory equipment, stock supplies, and helpmaintaina safe, organized work environment. Train to perform ECG's and BLS Certification

Key Responsibilities:


  • Clean, disinfect, and prepare respiratory therapy equipment for use
  • Set up and clean bronchoscopes and procedure tools
  • Handle and label patient samples
  • Stock supplies and ensure procedure rooms are ready
  • Help build and restock respiratory therapy carts
  • Transport equipment and support respiratory therapists with basic tasks
  • Follow all infection control and safety protocols


Ideal Candidates will have:



  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Able to stand forlong periodsand lift equipment

  • Previoushealthcare or hospital experience(notrequired)

  • Familiarity with respiratory or sterile processing equipment(notrequired)

  • Good communicationand organizational skills


Full Time (36hrs/week) -12 hourshifts

Night Shift(7p-7a)

Summary:
The Respiratory Therapy Assistant roleis responsible forperforming multiple duties that require anexpertisein the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment in addition to performing electrocardiograms.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: N/A
