Technology System/Platform Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Platform Engineer - Hybrid for a 12+ month contract position located in Denver, CO.

Pay range: $56.00 - $66.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of an internal granular load forecasting platform
• Build and maintain data pipelines within Databricks
• Integrate forecast inputs from multiple internal teams and ensure data flows reliably into the forecasting platform
• Develop ETL pipelines, workflows, and ingestion processes
• Support data cleanup and standardization
• Manage code deployment (Git, DBX asset bundles), testing, and production monitoring
• Coordinate with the platform engineering team to implement evolving data governance and security regulations
• Serve as a technical resource and liaison for the load forecasting team
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application platform issues across environments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience in platform/system engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture
• Strong Databricks experience
• Experience building ETL pipelines and workflows
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience integrating data from multiple teams/sources
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance consideration in enterprise systems
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and act as a liaison between IT, analysts, and data scientists

Desired skills:

• Databricks certification
• Energy, power, or utilities industry experience
• Experience with non-standard data ingestion
• Familiarity with enterprise IT integration environments
• Experience supporting large-scale data migration efforts (i.e., SAP IS-U)
• Hands-on experience designing or supporting API-based and batch integrations
