We are seeking a visionary leader to step into a pivotal role, overseeing both comprehensive accounting functions and vital wire transfer operations. Key Responsibilities

Accounting Leadership & Financial Reporting

* Lead and develop accounting staff, including recruitment, training, performance management, and workflow optimization.

* Manage daily accounting operations, encompassing general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.

* Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.

* Ensure accuracy of regulatory filings required by governing bodies.

* Design, implement, and monitor robust internal accounting controls and procedures.

* Collaborate on internal and external audits, as well as regulatory examinations.

* Generate financial reports and analyses for senior management.

* Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing accounting systems, automation, and processes.

Wire Operations Oversight

* Supervise the team responsible for domestic and international funds transfers.

* Ensure strict adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and financial sanctions compliance requirements related to wire activity.

* Establish and oversee procedures to guarantee the accuracy, security, and timeliness of all wire transactions.

* Review high-value or complex wire requests and exceptions.

* Partner with operational and compliance teams to maintain strong fraud detection and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution.

* 2+ years of supervisory experience managing teams.

* Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial institution accounting practices, and internal controls.

* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting or core processing systems.

* Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.

* Experience with wire transfer operations, payment systems, and fraud mitigation.

* Familiarity with financial institution regulations and regulatory reporting preparation.
