SUMMARY
Participate as a team member within the Operations Department located at our Greenville, SC Warehouse. This employee works primarily to ensure quality and accurate completion of order fulfillment, prior to and that may include shipping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed.
- Know/understand products, as directed & their quality requirements
- Know/understand product packaging requirements of outbound materials
- Timely completion of all data compilation tasks whether on-line, handheld scanner, or paper hard copy as directed; and the end-of-day count tally
- Execute activities that relate to fulfilling customer orders including examination of received orders, segregation of pallet orders, identification of APO orders, identification of Next Day and/or Urgent orders; and the related pick/pull/pack tasks to fill shipping boxes that protect the product(s)
- Apply appropriate labels; ensure that all multi-piece orders are numbered
- Execute to documented work instructions/procedures related to order fulfillment and other warehouse tasks
- Completes "other" related warehouse functions at discretion of Manager/Supervisor, Warehouse, such as: restocking of Primary Picking Point; restocking of shipping boxes; processing material returns; verification of returns; provide materials' transfer to/from Assembly; provide inspection and routine maintenance of forklift equipment; receiving related duties
- Know/understand order processing and related authorization to ship information; must be able to communicate/coordinate/schedule/plan with Assembly and Customer Service personnel to meet product shipment requirements to minimize and prevent back orders
- Cooperate/take direction/support Manager/Supervisor, Warehouse and all other executive management personnel, as a means to support internal/external "Stockholders"
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes any tasks and/or projects assigned by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
AUTHORITY
- May be empowered by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor to train/direct/supervise other and/or Temporary warehouse associate(s) as needed
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Determines when conditions are suspect involving product(s) to be shipped and alerts the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor on perceived inconsistencies against company sales orders and product quality requirements
- Empowered to obtain freight shipment quotes and perform other shipping duties at the direction of the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
- Ensure that all processes related to "Order Fulfillment" functions are completed timely and accurately; especially, the determination of outgoing product(s) being made ready to ship that may not meet minimum requirements for quality as per established norms
- Ensure that outgoing boxes containing product(s)are labeled accurately, including its proper Item # code, lot number and expiry date information, where applicable
- Ensure accuracy in completion and supply of documentation of product shipment information within directed format of hard copy paper and/or direct system data entry as the initial step prior to system "posting" of shipped materials
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma preferred; minimum of GED equivalent is required.
Experience:
- One (1) year experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment is preferred.
- Previous forklift/materials handling experience is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and required drug test.

- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively and courteously to all Internal Customers, Stockholders, External Customers (should they be contacted), business partner(s) (SCVRD), suppliers.
- Ability to learn/utilize company business system software and bar code scanning equipment
- Ability to learn and contribute improvement suggestions within all Quality System requirements, and related.
DEMANDS
Time and availability
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours each week from 8 am-5 pm, or some variation thereof.
Travel
- Must have transportation to and from headquarters.
