The Food Service Worker supports hospital food service operations by safely assembling, distributing, and serving meals to patients, visitors, and staff.
This role is essential in maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and food safety in a fast-paced environment.
This position does not provide direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, assemble, and serve food for patient tray line, cafeteria, and retail services
  • Set up, stock, and maintain food service stations for meal periods
  • Deliver and retrieve patient meal trays as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and supplies
  • Adhere to HACCP food safety and sanitation standards
  • Provide friendly, responsive customer service and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist with food preparation for tray line and cafeteria operations
  • Operate dish machines, trash compactors, and perform routine cleaning tasks
  • Monitor inventory and report shortages or concerns to supervisors
  • Support department goals to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and sanitation projects
  • Assist with training and cross-training of team members
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate in English (role dependent)
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely push carts and handle food service equipment
  • Positive attitude and commitment to service excellence (I CARE standards)

Per Diem/Shifts Can Vary

Minimum Starting Payrate:

$18.10
