Summary:
The Regional Manager of Quality is responsible for the development and implementation of Quality programs for MaineHealth Medical Group, assures the compliance of all organizations with state licensing standards and federal regulations, and provides oversight for performance improvement plans. On a regular basis, the Manager provides reports to the various quality committees and Board as appropriate to allow the governing body to have su?cient information to ful?ll their ?duciary responsibility for the organization. Provides direction and supervision to the sta? of the Quality departments.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required, or high school diploma with at least five years of leadership experience required.
  2. License/Certifications: State licensure within clinical discipline preferred; CPHRM, CPHQ certifications preferred, or similar certification(s) in risk and quality/performance improvement
  3. Experience: Five years clinical experience preferred, five years supervisory/leadership experience required.
  4. Strong clinical knowledge base
  5. Signifcant experience with quality improvement with in-depth understanding of patient safety
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN, or equivalent, process improvement
  7. Skilled leader and manager
  8. Effective change agent
  9. Strong, effective communication skills
  10. Organizational development skills
  11. Understanding of regulatory requirements, both state and federal
  12. Working knowledge of basic quality improvement methodologies, data collection and reporting
  13. Demonstrated success in leading and implementing performance improvement projects
