DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this role, you will offer clerical and office support for Gifford Pinchot State Park to ensure that office operations are conducted in an efficient and effective manner for the public, the park employees, and the Bureau's mission. In addition, you will be responsible for greeting the callers and the visiting public, as well as providing them with assistance and information throughout the year. You will offer assistance to the park's Administrative Assistant, the park's salaried Clerical Assistant 2, and other staff with a wide variety of clerical related tasks.

- Seasonal full-time employment, without benefits - 5 days/37.5 hours per week.
- There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work days/shifts will vary per week to include holidays and weekends.
- The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
- The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $18.46/hr. (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
