Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Screener Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth daily operations by screening people and packages, verifying IDs and credentials, documenting activity, and watching for unusual conditions. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and site leaders, and provide customer-focused service while helping to reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors and vendors entering the location by verifying identification and authorization, following established access control and screening protocols.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at entry points and staging areas, including observing for suspicious behavior and/or prohibited items, and communicating concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting findings and escalating issues per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, loading areas, trailers and interior spaces for irregular conditions. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
