The Adult and Child Center for Outcomes Research and Delivery Science is seeking a Research Services Manager to oversee four 5-year, NIH-funded studies: 1) three R01s encompassing a longitudinal cohort study with 1307 families and a sub-study with 631 families, and 2) a RCT intervention study, which are being conducted by Dr. Jerica Berge (the Principal Investigator). This position oversees a total of four research projects at CU and two additional sub-contracts the University of Minnesota and the University of Georgia. Thus, this position will encompass multi-site coordination across three study sites including CU, University of Minnesota, and the University of Georgia. This position will provide professional guidance regarding the conduct/flow of the research projects and is critical in the design of research processes. This position will also provide specialized guidance in data collection/measurement and in conducting dietary assessments in children and adults using their expertise in NDS-R software and anthropometry. In addition, they will supervise intervention staff who will engage in health behavior change techniques (i.e., Motivational Interviewing). Key Responsibilities: 25% - Project Management
Develop robust study processes and plans to ensure data collection is consistent, timely and reliable across all study sites; Develop creative and integrative solutions for managing data collection, retention, and interventions to meet study deadlines, budget, and to sustain productivity. Collaborate with community partners and primary care clinics to facilitate recruitment and retention of study participants at multiple study sites across the United States.
30% - Data Management and Monitoring
Maintain and update the databases and monitor to ensure data integrity and quality. Perform weekly quality checks on data and monitor all processes. Be trained, stay certified, and serve as a backup for measurement data collection visits with participant when needed; Train other staff in data collection and act as the "gold standard" for specific measurements (e.g., anthropometrics, dietary recalls, video-recorded meals, etc.).
25% Team Supervision
Oversee hiring, training, supervising and performance evaluations for data collection staff and student employees, provide detailed guidance and supervision on collection of data and participant experiences.
10% - Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight
10% - Study Regulatory Requirements and Dissemination
Oversee COMIRB submissions including updating consent forms, complete continuing reviews, and ongoing reporting documents as required; Ensure staff are trained in and adhere to good clinical practices and the studies are compliant with COMIRB requirements.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare, or a directly related field from an accredited institution Four (4) year clinical research or related experience Prior experience in academic medicine in project management and strategy. Experience participating in virtual visit/data collection and research including longitudinal, cohort and intervention studies recruitment, survey research, and/or in-home/clinic data collection with both children and adults
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Ten (10) years relevant experience Previous supervision experience Master's degree in public health or similar field Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems) Expertise in the area of childhood obesity, family cardiometabolic risk/health factors and mixed-methodologies, including experience collecting biological measurements Experience with collecting data from diverse participants using ecological momentary assessment Experience working with Children's Hospital Colorado systems and recruitment-related resources. Experience managing regulatory requirements related to human subjects research, including experience coordinating a DSMB committee and meetings Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team and using community-based participatory research approaches Experience designing and using digital health technology in observational studies and intervention studies with diverse participants (e.g., Mosio, ecological momentary assessment)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledgeable in qualitative research, including interviews and focus groups Proficiency in REDCap data management system, including creating and designing projects using piping and branching logic, developing and troubleshooting alerts and notifications, using the multi-language tool, etc. Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally Ability to set goals, motivate team members, and promote a positive environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution Outstanding customer service skills Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information Knowledgeable in mixed-methods and community-based research

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: $68,394 to $86,998 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
