This role is ideal for a licensed Mechanical Engineer who enjoys applying technical expertise to create safe, efficient, and codecompliant systems that keep projects running smoothly. ABOUT CEI ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES Established in 1973, we became a leader in civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture by approaching each project with the same objectives: to help our clients streamline their processes, increase efficiency, avoid costly mistakes, and drive revenue. We offer excellent benefits and perks, including comprehensive health offerings, a 401(k) with company match, an employee stock ownership plan, a quarterly incentive bonus program, continuing education opportunities, and a health and wellness reimbursement program. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT ENGINEER As a Project Engineer, you play a critical role in delivering complete, accurate, and safe fuel system designs for our clients. Each day brings a variety of engineering challenges as you work on fueling infrastructure for gas stations, travel centers, and similar facilities. You analyze data from site plans, geotechnical reports, environmental documentation, and industry standards to understand project requirements. Using AutoCAD and other design tools, you develop mechanical system layouts including piping, valves, tanks, pumps, and controls that safely transport fuel from storage tanks to customer dispensing points. You collaborate closely with civil engineers, drafters, and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall site designs. You also coordinate with utility companies, regulatory agencies, and sub-consultants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes governing fuel storage and distribution. Budget awareness, schedule management, and clear documentation are essential parts of your work. You prepare technical reports, calculations, and specifications that support permitting, construction, and client decision-making. You may also meet with clients to review design options, address concerns, and ensure project goals are met. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROJECT ENGINEER
