Overview

Heritage Manor of Lockport, a DePaul Senior Living Community is hiring a part-time Recreation Assistant.

The pay range for this opportunity is $16.20 - 16.50

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Respects and maintains the confidentiality and rights of residents. Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude toward all residents, staff and guests.
  • Organizes plans and leads resident activity groups in the area of arts and crafts.
  • Organizes plans and leads resident activity groups in the area of senior exercise programs.
  • Under the direction of the Activities Director helps to manage the operational budget for said programs.
  • Performs other duties as needed or requested by the Director of Activities.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED,
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must complete annual TB testing and Health Assessment.
  • Must have the required references and criminal record check.
  • Must have a valid New York State Driver's license and a clean driving record that meets Agency's Clean Driving Record Policy.


Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Must be able to lift to 20 lbs., communicate effectively, and perform basic office tasks such as typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment.
